The Federal Register Watcher (FRW) is NLI’s metadata service covering the U.S. Federal Government’s Federal Register, the daily journal of the United States Government. The Federal Register has been published continuously since March 16, 1936 and contains Presidential Documents, Rules, Proposed Rules and Notices. While Federal Register documents are public, it’s challenging, time consuming and expensive to monitor and search those publications. Over 400 federal agencies publish to the Federal Register, and on an average workday it gets 100+ new documents containing 400+ pages. Even with AI and data science assistance, that’s a lot of content to process. FRW’s enriched metadata greatly simplifies that task.⦿ What metadata attributes are available from NLI
